Community and Learning Together

Our older 3s and Pre-K classrooms spend much of their time in community with one another. “We take care of each other!” is a common phrase in our spaces. As children understand more about who they are individually, we can begin to focus on who we are collectively. In our upstairs classrooms we emphasize respect for ourselves, each other, our materials, and our environment.

In our Pre-K classroom especially, we practice school-readiness skills. Our environment for older students is designed to encourage self-sufficiency in routine and play.
